The experience of living in the wooden water cottage is really unique with a perfect view of the calm river and the village across from the well ventilated rooms. Delicious, simple and fresh food along with the excellent hospitality of the caretaker family made it a perfect getaway. There are modern cottages near the shoreline where one can dive into the inviting waters from the balcony or feed fish from the steps.  Delicious meals, cold drinks served by the caretaker.

The caretaker is very helpful and has repertoire of anecdotes about the place. If you are looking for a place to chill and unwind away from the city life, this is an ideal getaway. This does not have typical hotel like amenities and room ambiences or décor rather has a welcoming ambience of the home stay.

Guests can also take half day trips to nearby temple towns like Kollur and Udupi. The Arabian Sea is just a few miles from the southern tip of the Island.
