My Travel my Passion my Homestay

Rural India
“Work is a state of mind” or so I tell my conscience when I have that restless excitement to go and discover something totally new, or just slightly different or maybe just go out and travel period. People often consider us international relations students as bound-to-a-table-by-chains kind of people, but let me tell you even though many of us do turn out that way but majority of us are the most fun seeking and adventurous individuals you would ever meet.
Every since my parents got tired of supporting my “hobby” I had to cut back (some of the most tragic months of my life!). I mean without mummy papa to help out, the hotels become far too expensive, relatives become rather unpleasant and having no wish to sleep on the curbs, hence discovering the miracles called “homestay” was something of a milestone in my travel career.
Homestay in India
Relaxing evening after an eventful day!!
Homestays are the ideal option. They provide the comfort of home at the prices of a hostel and completely do away with the clinical sterility of the hotels so that one can truly enjoy the culture and experiences of the city one happens to be staying at.
Indian Tradition
Taking part in tradition! :D
Over the years my favorite traveling destination has become one of the clichés The Queen of Hills –Shimla.
The feel of the place is only rivaled by its scenic beauty and wondrous hiking experience on the nearby hills in the morning when the air is filled with mystic spirituality and … well fog.
However a very close second for a vacation in India is Mt. Abu, Rajasthan!

Mt. Abu stands out amidst the flat plains like a beacon calling you to come explore some more. Let me just say it has not been called the Olympus of Rajasthan for nothing. Mt. Abu enjoys lush foliage and is also a scared pilgrimage spot for the Hindus and the Jains. The religious shrines and legends will ensure there will never be a boring moment in this beautiful city.
I can go on and on about my exploits and how homestays are god’s gift to budget travel, however these frequent travels have left me with very little time and a lot of work to finish. Hence I now end my monologue by giving a few words of (travel) advice for my fellow restless souls.
While in India The Other Home, offer a huge range of options, to suit the travelers with every price and quality expectations. However regardless of the option that you may have picked many inclusions like free parking and internet access could be further availed off merely by asking.
Until we all make it big this is just another way for us stuggling students to make ends meet. Till then enjoy!
