“At the touch of love, everyone becomes a poet.” Well, if you want to bring out the poet in you, it’s time to go on a romantic honeymoon with your spouse. The important question arises, “What is the perfect honeymoon destination?” My answer would be, “Every place in the beautiful subcontinent of India is an ideal place.” But then, there are a few places in India which can make your honeymoon trip, the most memorable experience in your life.
Honeymoon in Goa
Goa: Well, if you’re going to choose destinations for your honeymoon, why not choose ‘Heaven’ itself? Yes, I am talking about Goa, ‘The Heaven on Earth’. With its beautiful beaches, greenery, churches and temples, Goa would be the best honeymoon destination one can ever go to! Calangute, Anjuna, Baga and Colva are a few beaches worth visiting in Goa. Watching the sunset in the Baga beach in North Goa, is probably the most romantic thing in this world. Also in the Cola beach in South Goa, the sky, sea and land blend in harmony. Udaipur: Personally, Udaipur is the most beautiful place I have ever come across. The beautiful gardens, temples, grand palaces and mansions are all captivating. Known to us as the ‘City of Lakes’ it is one of the top 25 honeymoon destinations in India. The City Palace on the banks of Lake Pichola is one of the primary attractions. Also nearby is the Lake Palace which has been converted into the hotel under the Taj group. Doodh Talai is a garden which is very famous as the sunset point as honeymooners enjoy the sunset view here. Also one must visit other wonderful spots like the Nehru garden, Udaipur Solar Observatory. Couples enjoy the Camel and horse rides, puppet shows and the magic shows which are arranged by the hotels.

Dalhousie: This is one place newly wedded people must go to. It is a calm and beautiful hill station situated in Himachal Pradesh. This hill station has seven springs, known as the Satdhara. The springs are known to have medicinal properties. The serene environment gives some intimacy to the romantic couples. Khajjar is again a must visit place. It is shaped like a saucer and is surrounded by pine trees, lush meadows and sparkling lakes. Sounds like the right place for honeymooners. The Bakrota hills, Gandhi Chowk, Tibetan markets are few other places to stop by. Kasauli: It is a quiet hill station located in the Shivalik hills near Shimla. The Monkey point is the most exotic spot here. It is basically a small temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. Since it is the highest elevated spot in Kasauli, it gives a beautiful view of all the hills around Shimla. Hawa Ghar, also known as the sunrise point and the sunset point located 100 kms away from the Kasauli club house are two things which should not be missed. Various gardens like Soami Bagh, Ram Bagh and Mehtab Bagh are perfect picnic spots for romantic couples. The Kailash temple and the Mahakali temple are generally visited by couples to pray for a happy life ahead. The Jama Masjid and Sikandara, where the tomb of Akbar lies are other famous spots in Agra.
Honeymoon Trip to Darjeeling
Darjeeling: Located in the beautiful city of West Bengal, this town is known all over the world for its Tea production. It is surrounded by lakes, plantations, woods and forests.
