By far one of the most popular attractions for tourists in the South, the Vivekananda Rock Memorial is visited by people from all over the world! People flock in thousands to see both sunrise and sunset! A monument that is sacred to many, stands tall on rocky land and provides a great angle for clicking memorable pictures while the sun rises!

With the beautiful morning breeze kissing your cheeks with a visual delight like no other, Vivekanand’s Rock is something you shouldn’t miss when you are in Tamil Nadu! A tourist hub in all aspects especially at sunrise. Breath taking to say the least. The blend of pink, blue and orange will make you go gaga. Let’s just say you haven’t seen anything yet!
A very popular tourist attraction in Kanyakumari, this Rock is the place to be to enjoy a moment alone. The beautiful  memorial stands on one of two rocks located about 500 meters off mainland India’s southernmost tip and lights up with the first rays of the sun and how!

The beautiful tip at where the Bay of Bengal, The Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean meet certainly gives you a beautiful yet lasting sunrise. It is simply surreal to watch the sun rise overhead while you kick back and relax! An experience truly like no other. Some say that is worth watching the moon dip and the sun rise .  These rocks are noted to be India’s most beautiful place to observe the sun rise! The magnificent rocks are stunning and will leave you asking for more!  While the world snoozes, you get to witness something only an early riser gets to see! A moment worth a lifetime for some, picturesque for others. The tranquil nature of the water as it dazzles with the rays of the sun and the clear blue sky enhances your overall sunrise experience. Relish the stillness and beauty of God’s work. The scene is something that can only be out of a storybook. A scene so pure and serene!

Take the ferry when you do have to watch this nature’s play. A ride that probably will cost you a couple of minutes, not more! Built in 1970, this rocky land became  very famous when the great Swami Vivekananda took it upon himself to swim across to the rock and meditate for days! The sunrise is best seen near the 130 feet tall statue of the Tamil poet Tiruvalluvar.
