Sparsa resort is a 4 star property located in Kanyakumari; the southernmost tip of mainland India. Sparsa, which in Sanskrit means ‘touch’ signifies touching the hearts of the guests coming to the Sparsa resort through a genuine warmth, care and comfort.
Blending modern comfort with traditional charm, the Sparsa resort offers 46 double rooms and 2 suites. One room happens to be disabled-friendly. Kanyakumari is land’s end- here, the Indian Ocean, the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal meet. The rooms at the Sparsa resort have been designed in such a way that it offers guests some breathtaking views- of the Indian Ocean from the southern wing, of the Arabian Sea from the western wing and of the Bay of Bengal from the eastern wing. All the rooms are generously sized- the sizes of the deluxe rooms are about 284 square feet while the sizes of the suites are about 568 square feet, are elegantly decorated and have inviting beds and soft lighting. The rooms have been laid with photo catalytic tiles coated with titanium oxide which reduce airborne pollutants and bacteria by around 70 %. All the rooms are equipped with LCD Television, mini-refrigerator, tea/coffee makers, safety lockers and Wi-Fi connectivity.
The facilities at the Sparsa resort include Auroma; a multi-cuisine restaurant, Land’s End; a well-stocked bar, a swimming pool, a health club and a tennis court. Authentic cuisine from Tamil Nadu is dished out at Auroma. During your stay here you can gorge on some lip-smacking Chettinad delicacies that originated from the kitchens of the Chettiars in the Chettinad region of Tamil Nadu as well as savour some of the best seafood you could ever have- fresh fish and prawns that comes from just off the coast of Kanyakumari.
Mindful of their environmental footprint, the Sparsa resort has been taking steps to keep their hotel environmentally sustainable by conserving water, minimizing its wastage and recycling waste water and composting all the organic waste that is generated from their hotel.
Since the time it opened its doors to the discerning traveller, the Sparsa resort has been winning the hearts of people from across the world. Amitabh Bachchan was one of the many guests who had enjoyed their stay at the Sparsa resort. This is what he wrote in the guest book on 14.2.09, “This has been a most rewarding & comfortable stay. The location of Sparsa at this historical spot is exceptional. The staff most humble & polite & the service beyond expectations. It is a neat & clean environment, modest, but catering to every detail.”
The Sparsa resort which is a stone’s throw from the Sunset Point is an ideal base to explore the pilgrimage centre of Kanyakumari.
The National Highway 47 (commonly referred to as NH 47) connects Trivandrum; the capital of Kerala to the Sparsa resort in Kanyakumari. The nearest airport is the Trivandrum International Airport in the neighboring state of Kerala, about 80 kilometers away. The railway station at Kanyakumari is just about 2 kilometers away from the Sparsa resort. There are daily trains departing and arriving from here to many important cities of the country.
