6 Reasons to Book a Vacation Rentals in India this summer

Vacation Rental in India

Summer vacations are just around the corner and kids are clamoring to get away from home, you too would be thinking of taking a break.  But stop before you book a hotel!  Though booking a hotel comes naturally while planning for holidays, there are strong reasons for you to consider a vacation rental in place of a hotel this time.
You get more for less
Vacation Rental in JaipurIn a hotel room you what you actually get is a bedroom and a bathroom vacation rentals gives you a chance to have more space a whole apartment at your disposal. All the family members can enjoy the togetherness which is not possible in separate hotel rooms. Some of the vacation rentals come with spacious outdoors complete swimming pools and lawns which adds to the space and the whole experience is much richer than hanging out in a hotel lobby or being cooped up in the rooms.
More Add-ons
Villa in GoaThough hotels sometimes offers amenities (for which  you pay through your nose)   but none of them match up to the add – ons which you have in your vacation rentals. A vacation rental gives you a whole range from swimming pools, private kitchens, cook on call laundry facility and games for children etc.
Catering to all needs
My daughter being a very picky eater always throws tantrums with hotel food . At vacation rentals I can always  cook whatever she likes also being totally relaxed the cooking becomes a labour of love rather than a routine exercise.  My husband being a movie buff is able to catch on his favorite movies. My teen age son can engross himself in gaming and I can snooze in a quiet corner all this is only possible when we book a vacation rental.  So many times two three families have gone together on a holiday booking a vacation rental and each one of us could do our own thing it was a perfect balance between togetherness and space.
A peek into local culture
Local CultureWith vacation rental you can get an authentic holiday experience Sometimes vacation rentals owners also provide the local guide or a local trek facility which give you a peek into the local culture which a sanitized hotel atmosphere will never be able to deliver. The local cuisine the quaint undiscovered sites and travel tips go a long way in making your holiday memorable.
Family Reunion
Family ReunionWhen it is time for all the extended family to come together be it your 25 wedding anniversary or the  in laws are celebrating their 50 anniversary or your daughter’s 16 birthday or your son’s graduation celebrations nothing can match the vacation rentals as the ideal choice. These are the occasions where there are people of different age groups and preferences and the vacation rentals provide ideal ambiance for everyone to indulge.
Vacation Rental in India
You save huge money
With vacation rentals when you cook your own food consume your own beverages the amount of money you save is amazing.  Just consider the number of hotel rooms you would have to book in order to accommodate the entire family, the amount of money that  you would  spend on hotel restaurants and bars. And also calculate the amount you would have had to spent on keeping everyone happily occupied like spa’s , games etc. Add all these together and vacation rentals turn out to be a huge money saver.
I being a huge fan of vacation rentals can vouch for them being the best way to enjoy the holidays together. If vacationing together with friends nothing can come close to the bonding and experience one can have in vacation rentals. The above are some of the reasons but once you book a vacation rental you will be surprised how many more reasons you would discover for vacation rentals being your first choice for holidays .

Own a Dream Vacation Home in Himachal Pradesh

Urban life is becoming hectic, draining off valuable time spent with our family. We always desire to move away from the clutter of urban life and spend some time, even it be just a weekend, in a cool climate and peaceful environment, that too in our own house? This sounds like a dream, doesn’t it? Moreover, after owning a house in the city and paying up all the expenses, people can only fantasize buying a piece of land or having a home in natural surroundings.Owning a property is a suitable way to invest some money and also build something that one could use after retirement. Some people have already started investing in second and third homes, like the rest of the world. But with rising land prices in the city and urban areas, the focus has shifted to hilly states, where the land prices are comparatively lower.
In North India, Himachal Pradesh, Uttaranchal and Rajasthan are popular destinations. The investors are mostly in the 30-45 age group and the most sought out in the North are Mussorie, Nainital, Bhimtal, Shimla, Bharatpur, Landour & Kasauni.
Till sometime back, an outsider (people who don’t have a Himachal domicile) could not purchase a land or property in the state as per Himachal Pradesh Tenancy and Land Reforms Act, 1972 (Section 118).
Things have changed over the period of time. Himachal Government has recently announced a new scheme to acquire lands for establishment of Housing Colonies. The dream of owning property in Himachal has become more realistic. The state government has now allowed the purchase of land by outsiders (non-Himachali). Himachal Pradesh Housing & Urban Development Authority (HIMUDA) is conducting demand survey of different areas in seven districts for the purpose of housing development in the state. HIMUDA has invited application from all citizens of India to own residential houses/plots/flats in proposed housing colonies to be constructed under partial self financing scheme. If the response for a particular area is adequate, the government will take necessary steps for acquisition of land. It plans to complete the formalities in six months.
After the finalization and approval of the scheme, people can buy, own and resell property in Himachal Pradesh. This is a dream come true for nature lovers, who always wanted to own a cottage in the salubrious environment of mountains. In case sufficient demand is not received for a particular location, the government may modify or abandon that  scheme. You can download the scheme documents from the website of Himachal Pradesh Housing & Urban Development Authority. Now that it is easier to own house in Himachal Pradesh, we may still be worried about regular maintenance expenses and security. It is difficult to spend more than a few weeks a year in the second home or in mountains away from work. However, it is important to maintain the property for an extended period of time and employ a full time caretaker who is resident at the property. All this will put burden on the pocket. However, there is a significant income generation opportunity. A convenient option to address this dilemma is to convert the second home in Himachal as a vacation rental or homestay.
Lastly, promoting a vacation home or homestay requires significant time, money and energy for online and offline promotion, including creation of a website and building network with people by word of mouth or through their social circle. We offer a solution for your concerns. You can register your property with  The Other Home at our website free of cost. The company will market your property and attract domestic & international travelers. You can list your property, control the inventory and manage other details.
The Other Home, an India-focused vacation rental, homestay and outdoor adventure properties consolidator, offers a platform to property owners to market their assets and attract clients.
